Feetures got its start In 2002. With over 25 years of experience in the sock industry, Hugh Gaither decided that he could make a better sock and he did just that. My wife and I have been testing the Feetures Elite Max Cushion No Show socks for a few months now and we are pretty impressed. These socks are squarely in the running socks category but we tested them cycling, hiking and as an everyday sock as well.
Feetures says the Elite Max Cushion socks are for the runners seeking maximum comfort and protection. The cushioning in these socks is very good, which you would expect with words like max cushion in the name. Feetures uses iWick Polyester fibers to deliver a soft feel and provide cushioning. The socks haven‘t made our feet too hot and they do a good job of keeping moisture under control. Hot spots and blisters have not been an issue with them.
The Feetures Elite Max Cushion socks have targeted compression in the arch and they use what Feetures calls Sock Lock technology. These socks fit snugly on the foot so they don‘t move around or bunch up. I don‘t mind a bit of compression in a sock but my wife really hates tight socks. Both of us like the fit and feel of the Elite Max Cushion socks. Feetures Perfect Toe® gets rid of the seam at the end of the sock so there won‘t be anything to irritate those toes.
Feetures says to machine wash the socks wash on cold and then hang them to dry. Don‘t use any bleach or fabric softeners. They say for best results to wash the socks inside out. We‘re a little bit busy around here so the test socks haven‘t gotten any special treatment. They go through the laundry just like anything else. After a few months of use, they look just as good as the day our testing started.
Feetures has a pretty impressive Lifetime Guarantee on their products. Here‘s what their website says:
“We stand behind the quality of our socks and want you to have a great experience with every product we make. If at any point you are unsatisfied with one of our products, you may return it for a replacement pair”.
With a guarantee like that, it’s hard to go wrong. Both my wife and I really like the Elite Max Cushion socks. Whether cycling, running on the treadmill, or just walking around, the socks feel good on the feet. They don‘t slide around and my feet stay dry while wearing them.
The Feetures Elite Max Cushion socks sell for $15.99 on the Feetures website. For those of you that use performance socks, you know that this price is right in line with other quality socks. For anyone who refuses to give up their $1 cotton socks, I totally understand. Years ago, I splurged on a pair of performance hiking socks. Those socks lasted for years and they made my feet feel so good. These Feetures socks are much the same. Now I know that the durability of comfort of performance socks is really worth the up-front expense. Don‘t knock it until you try it. Click HERE to head over to the Feetures website.
