The Saxx Pilot 2 in 1 running shorts arrived last fall and I started testing right away. Running really isn‘t my thing but I do quite a bit of walking, hiking, and backpacking. The Pilot shorts work just as well for these activities as they do for running. The phrase “life changing underwear” is used to describe Saxx underwear and these shorts seem to be just as comfortable.
The Saxx Pilot shorts are super lightweight, and the liner gets rid of the sweat great. A nylon and polyester blend makes up the shell and a nylon and spandex blend gives the liner a nice stretchy feel. Saxx keeps the seams down to a minimum and the seams just disappear for me. These shorts are very supportive, and they wrap around like a second skin.
The Saxx Pilot shorts are meant for running so they don‘t have unnecessary pockets or other features. There are no front or side pockets and just one rear zippered pouch in the back. There‘s enough space for some car, keys, a cell phone and maybe a small wallet but if you have much to carry, I‘d suggest a fanny pack or something.
Saxx really concentrates on comfort and they build in several comfort features into the Pilot shorts. The patented BallPark Pouch™works great to keep things in place and free of irritation. A Three-D Fit™with 9-panel construction and non-chafing Flat Out Seams™add to the perfect fit.
Features and guarantee
The Saxx Pilot shorts have a 5-inch inseam and there are some reflective accents to add low light visibility. Anti-odor technology is there for you and your friends. Saxx has a comfort guarantee and here‘s what they have to say right on their website. “We want you to experience the comfort and performance SAXX Underwear has to offer. You can read all the reviews, but we know sometimes you need to try it before you buy it. To make it easy, we‘re willing to exchange or refund your order if you are not satisfied with your SAXX Underwear within 30 days of purchase.”
The Saxx Pilot 2 in 1 shorts sell for $64.95 on the Saxx website. Even though I‘m not an avid runner I really appreciate the comfort of these shorts and I‘ll probably carry them backpacking for lightweight camp clothes. Click HERE to visit the Saxx website.
Thanks to Saxx for sending out the Pilot shorts for testing and review. We have to live on a budget too and being able to write these honest reviews hopefully benefits everyone.
