The Stanley Adventure Prep and Cook Set is more than just another cook set. Because it carries with it the same legendary quality and craftsmanship we’ve come to expect from all Stanley products. While my cooking skills are subpar, Stanley is giving me a chance to keep practicing in the great outdoors. Sure, there are a variety of cooking sets produced by Stanley. But I’m going to give you a couple of reasons this set may be a better fit for your needs.
One of the main advantages of this set is that it is quite versatile. Not unlike a Swiss army knife, the cook set provides multiple tools to get the job done. This set includes a 1.5-liter pot with a vented lid, a spatula and ladle (both with extending handles). Plus, two cutting boards/plates/lids, and two  20fl.oz. bowls. And all of these items are stored inside the pot which makes for compact packing. The pot has a 4.4 inch wide base, which is an important feature to consider, along with whatever cooking stove or base you plan on using to cook with this set. The wider base will be compatible with more sets as a result. You don’t want an unstable pot that is too narrow for the cooking surface.
Note that the spatula and ladle are made of polypropylene that resists melting. I should mention that while scrambling eggs in my pot and trying to keep the eggs from burning, I goofed. The spatula spent some time on the bottom of the pot and did melt some. So, it is melt resistant, though not entirely melt proof. The pot is made of 18/8 stainless-steel and is scratch resistant, rust proof, and 100% BPA free. Of course, it offers sturdy construction and pot handle that folds back on itself. Make sure you use oil in your cooking for certain foods. If not, you can end up with your food sticking and burning to the bottom of the pot.
This cook set is great for up to two people, and I am expecting many more years of use. It has been thoroughly enjoyable to have the tools I need to cook outdoors. For the chef Ramseys out there or the subpar cooks like me and everyone in between, it’s always important to be prepared. And that’s what Stanley’s Adventure Prep and Cook Set offers.
I’d like to thank Stanley for proving their Adventure Prep and Cook Set for this review.
