John Schwartz is the general manager of a gas station in Mequon, Wisconsin. The owner of the station, Harvey Pollack, decided not to sell gas for a day, as a way to protest the high prices. He figured shutting down his pumps for 24 hours might convince others to join his movement, with the goal of getting oil companies to lower their prices. This from the man that bought a gas station as an investment?
John, buy your kids some bikes. They’re the best choice for short trips. If they need a car, get them something economical and environmentally friendly. Think Civic, not SUV.
Harvey, do you really think that the oil companies will lower their prices, so you can make a profit? I must have missed the part where you said you would pass the savings on to motorists. Because if you did, they could afford bigger cars…

LOL – Record profit$ baby!! If they can just keep the middle east roiling at a slow boil the they can milk this program for the next 10 years.
But if they raise prices too much folks might realize they can kick their filthy habit and dump their pushers: Shell, BP and Exxcon. Wouldn’t that be a shame?
