He figured shutting down his pumps for 24 hours might convince others to join his movement, with the goal of getting oil companies to lower their prices. This from the man that bought a gas station as an investment?
John, buy your kids some bikes. They’re the best choice for short trips. If they need a car, get them something economical and environmentally friendly. Think Civic, not SUV.
Harvey, do you really think that the oil companies will lower their prices, so you can make a profit? I must have missed the part where you said you would pass the savings on to motorists. Because if you did, they could afford bigger cars…

But if they raise prices too much folks might realize they can kick their filthy habit and dump their pushers: Shell, BP and Exxcon. Wouldn’t that be a shame?
