In the last 48 hours, I took 4 different flights and have been in 4 different states in the US.
As we went from airport to airport, I noticed that there are more officers inside the airports getting around by mountain bike. This was actually pretty cool. Much cooler than the silly TV show about them several years back. But I noticed the majority of bikes were Treks, with a single Cannondale at the airport in Phoenix.
Now, I know that the Cannondale was made in the US, but I’m pretty sure the Treks were made in China. So I have to ask – can we really afford the risk of foreign-made bikes in our airports? I’m going to see if my contact at Trek can shed some light on this, as it is clearly a matter of national security.
Pacific Blue ROCKED, man.
