With their new Low Gravity Beach Chair, STRONGBACK kicks it down a notch, but in a good way. Because sometimes you just want to chill around the campfire, or with your feet in the sand, and don’t need to be up off the ground all that much. So they took all the comfort of their other chairs, and made what just might be the best beach chair out there.
We’ve been a fan of STRONGBACK from the day we met. Each chair provides built-in lumbar support, while the powder coated steel frame and tough polyester 600D will hold up to years of use, and can support up to 300 pounds. So when they offered us the Low Gravity Beach Chair for a review, we jumped at the chance. Then sat down. Because that’s how you test a chair. In our case, most testing was done around the fire pit in our backyard. It’s a great place to relax after a long week of work, or just a weekend evening.
Like all STRONGBACK chairs, the Low Gravity Beach Chair comes with a sturdy drawstring bag that has straps for ease of carry. Pull it out, unfold it, lock the back, and prepare to relax. For extra comfort, the arms are padded, the lumbar area has mesh to breathe a bit and keep you cool, and you’ll find a drink (or phone) holder by your right knee.
While 8.5 pounds is not light for a chair, it’s well worth the weight. That’s because the steel frame doesn’t creak or flex, and make you worry it might fail. The material is thick and provides lots of support. The seat is 20 inches wide, and 25 inches deep, and the chair itself is 24 inches in height, with your butt about 4 inches from the ground. This makes for a very laid back and relaxed seating position, but without the aches and pains that come from more than all but the shortest stints in cheap chairs.
I love the Low Gravity Beach Chair. No joke. It’s really comfortable, and I’m happy to spend most of a lazy afternoon or evening in it. If you fish, camp, go to parades, watch your kid’s ball games, or just hang out around the fire pit in your yard, you will be hard pressed to find a more comfortable seating option. You can spend a lot less by buying a much cheaper chair, but you won’t be doing your back any favors. And then you’ll toss it out, and buy a STRONGBACK. So save your money, and just get the STRONGBACK first. You’ll thank me when you do.
