I’ve been a bit preoccupied with some reviews that I have in the works, and haven’t posted much in the last week. But recent events in the news have caused me to stop and refocus for a moment. The devastation brought upon Japan by the recent tsunami is something that will affect all of us in one way or another. So I’d like to urge my readers to reach out in some way, if possible. If you can spare a donation, there is no shortage of charities that are providing aid in Japan right now. Unless you have a favorite, (mine is Red Lotus) check any major news outlet for a listing of reputable charities. For those with more spiritual inclinations, a prayer not just for those lost, but the survivors as well, is certainly appropriate. Any opportunity to raise awareness is a gesture of loving kindness to those in need.
