When approximately half the students returning to school from their summer break will be toting their school supplies in a JanSport backpack, you know the company must be doing something right. And it’s an awesome way to build brand loyalty, especially given that their product line is not limited to school bags, but includes camping and hiking gear as well.
It should come as no surprise then that my youngest announced that she had to have one for junior high, as it is more than just a way to carry books, writing materials, and cell phones, it’s a fashion accessory too. This seemed like an excellent opportunity for her to work on her writing skills, and when I suggested that she could do a review of it just like we do with camping gear, she agreed. Yes, homework from dad on the first week of school.
Here’s her review of the JanSport SuperBreak in Blinded Blue Block Check, after a bit of editing. Full details are listed below.
The color of my backpack is a light blue and turquoise with black, white and gray squares. I chose the color because I thought it was a really nice color and I don’t like a lot of fancy stuff on my backpack. I thought the colors looked really good together and it is not too fancy and not too plain, and another thing I like about it is that I can even add stuff on to it and it would still look nice. There are lots of other colors available too. It holds up to four 1 inch binders with folders in the binders. It also holds all my books and papers with a pencil box and some other stuff. It has a big pocket and when I go to get some thing out of it I find it right away. It is somewhat comfortable and the shoulder straps I like a lot because it helps me to carry a lot of things. It is very easy to adjust but sometimes I need to find out if one side is higher then the other so I don’t look weird. I would recommend it to a friend because it is easy to carry around and it holds all your stuff. Instead of having to dig into your backpack to find stuff, all I have to do is just open my backpack and there it is right there in front of me. I think this is the best backpack that I ever had.

We’d like to thank JanSport for providing this backpack for review. We’d also like to thank them for their efforts working with companies and charitable organizations to provide backpacks to underprivileged children each year as well. My own employer handed out 70+ JanSport backpacks loaded with school supplies and a voucher for free shoes to children of single parents, foster parents, and those that probably wouldn’t have started school with a new backpack and footwear otherwise.
