Eagle Eye Fiber Optic Sights now available for Taurus TX22

TandemKross recently released their “Eagle Eye” Fiber Optic Sight Set for the popular Taurus TX22. This little rimfire has been showing up at a lot of ranges. Thanks to a low price (usually well under $300), and some great features, it’s easy to see why. Built on a polymer frame with an aluminum slide, it’s light weight, even for a rimfire. And 16-round magazines mean plenty of plinking fun between reloads. If there was one major gripe, it was the sights. No pistol should ever be let down by poor sights. TandemKross addressed that with this new set of sights.

Build quality

Like their other Eagle Eye sights, TandemKross makes these out of aerospace grade aluminum. Having installed a set on my Ruger PC Carbine, I can attest to their durability. These are nicely machined parts, well-finished, with no rough edges. The matte black anodizing looks great, and wears well.

Features

The front sight is pretty standard, and has some grooves along the back to reduce glare. It’s got a single fiber optic pipe, in green. For the rear, you get a fully adjustable sight. Windage and elevation corrections are made with a small hex wrench. Dual red fiber optic sights help provide a great sight picture. TandemKross even includes a drop in peep sight.

Installation

Here’s a handy video showing the installation. As you can see, it’s super easy. Clearly, if you can do a basic field strip, you can install these at home with nothing more than a few hex wrenches.

The result?

Installing the “Eagle Eye” Fiber Optic Sight Set allows for faster target acquisition under less than ideal lighting conditions. And they are fully adjustable to compensate for changes in ammo or distance, as necessary. Plus, they look really good. A lot better than the factory sight setup. And I’m pretty sure that if you’re adding a suppressor, that little extra height doesn’t hurt either.

It doesn’t matter if you’re competing, or just out to have fun. A good set of sights can help you improve your scores in competition. At the same time, they’ll elevate your plinking game. Whether steel gongs, or aluminum cans, who doesn’t want to be on target faster and score more hits? It’s the best $79.99 (MSRP) you can spend on your Taurus TX22
