For the ladies not familiar with Krimson Klover, here’s a quick summary to give you an idea why I’m so stoked about this brand. This Boulder, Colorado based company was founded by women, for women, and is run by women just like us: smart, passionate, in love with the great outdoors, and appreciate a little chic in our wardrobe. Just because we don’t mind a getting a little dirty on an outdoor adventure, doesn’t mean we don’t deserve nice things.
Krimson Klover makes a variety of women’s clothing pieces, such as tops, skirts, dresses, as well as accessories. My favorite article is the Spider’s Web Angled Poncho. It is an extremely unique piece, not like anything else found in my closet (or apparently many other women’s closets, as every time I wear the poncho I get a stream of compliments). I am fairly lazy when it comes time to put together an outfit: jeans, plain color shirt, add a scarf and I’m good to go. However, moving into spring, my beloved scarves are not as practical.
I found the Spider’s Web Angled Poncho to be the perfect accent to many outfits. It provides light coverage for the shoulder seasons, but is also airy for the heat of summer. The unique weave pattern looks a lot like a fine lace, and in fact resembles the weightlessness too. I really love the lines of the garment: clean, and not vertical or horizontal but diagonal. Unlike other ponchos on the market, the flow of the Spider’s Web really flatters all bodies types because of its versatile nature. The piece can be worn over both shoulders, over just one, slouchy in the neckline, or conservative. Also, the poncho can be worn on a wide variety of occasions. Some of my favorites are to add it to a dress for work, to skinny jeans and cute boots while out for a drink, and to my favorite leggings at the farmer’s market. I just love wearing it and exploring new outfit possibilities. Getting constant compliments doesn’t hurt either!
Currently, the Spider’s Web Angled Poncho comes in three colors: poppy (red), white, and black. I would personally love it see it in teal or purple hues to further broaden the uses. Unlike many ponchos on the market, the Spider’s Web actually comes in two sizes S/M and L/XL. It is also machine washable, being 55% linen & 45% viscose, which makes it easy to clean (especially if you wear it as often as I do).
Krimson Klover is not just another women’s apparel line. The ladies of Krimson Klover have helped the brand earn its outstanding reputation because of the luxurious fabrics used across the entire line. These ladies care about the environment we all love so much and prove it through sustainable manufacturing. In addition, they care for their own by operating with fair business practices.
Admittedly, this is my first experience with Krismson Klover, but I can honestly tell you it will not be my last. I love to buy local, and appreciate the motivated women that have created this fantastic brand. The Spider’s Web Poncho ($98 MSRP) makes me feel incredibly confident, vibrant, attractive. How many clothes in your closet make you feel like that every time you put them on? My guess is, not as many as you deserve.
Thank you to the ladies of Krismson Klover for providing the sample of the Spiders Web Angled Poncho for this review.
