Universal Sports Presents Live Coverage of UCI Road World Championships

Universal Sports will present live coverage of the UCI Road World Championships September 24 – 28 from Varese, Italy. Fans can tune in via UniversalSports.com and Universal Sports TV to watch a total of 827 cyclists from 58 countries competing at the highly anticipated Championships.

 

The U.S. team will be led by Olympic medalists Kristin Armstrong and Levi Leipheimer, both of whom will be racing in the time trial and road race events.  In the elite men‘s road race, reigning world champion Paolo Bettini of Italy will look to become the first rider to win in three consecutive years.  Bettini will be challenged by a strong field of riders, including 2005 world champion Tom Boonen and Philippe Gilbert of Belgium, Oscar Freire and Alejandro Valverde of Spain, Stefan Schumacher of Germany, and Sylvain Chavanel of France.
