North Carolina knitters making special line of designs for Liberty

YAKIMA, Wash. – March 7, 2013 –  Liberty Bottleworks has “lost their freakin’ minds” with the launch of a unique line of one-size-fits-all bottle insulators designed by Liberty and manufactured by Freaker USA.

The company is celebrating the product launch with a limited time offer of a free Freaker with any bottle purchase (Buy one, get one. Buy 10, get 10) from www.libertybottles.com with the coupon code “freakin”.

The new line of bottle insulators was conceived when eccentric entrepreneur and founder of Freaker USA, Zach Crain, took his knit bottle insulators to the hit ABC show “Shark Tank” and demonstrated the flexibility of his design on a Liberty Bottleworks bottle.

“We got a dozen emails and phone calls the night Zach’s episode aired when people spotted our bottle,” said Ryan Clark, COO and co-founder of Liberty Bottleworks. “We’d been working on the development of a similar design with another mill and immediately knew we needed to connect with Freaker and make it happen.”

The episode of Shark Tank featuring Freaker USA (episode 406) will re-air at 8 p.m. Eastern Time Thursday, March 7, as ABC moves the popular show to a new timeslot.

Freakers are BPA-free, one-size-fits all, and made in the USA at a family-owned mill in Troy, North Carolina. The insulators can fit on any size bottle or cup from a tumbler to a two-liter bottle and Liberty’s designs, such as American flag-themed “Duderow Wilson,” complement the 2013 bottle art, but look right at home on any of the company’s sizes and designs.

“If Freaker USA and Liberty Bottleworks were two people they would be eternally holding hands, skipping in the meadows, and making sly puns about reproductive anatomy,” said Freaker USA founder Zach Crain. “But alas, this is 2013 and the only fields you can skip in are covered in glass shards. We’re not masochists, so the only option left was to make a business partnership deal.”

The 10 Liberty Freaker designs are available directly from www.libertybottles.com and Liberty retailers around the country.
